Saturday's Meetup
I had another fantastic time hanging out with my fellow IL VA friends. We talked about client relations, resources, networking groups and how we can gain the most benefit from our group.
We are looking for feedback on lunch and learns and will be posting polls. Considering we each have individual niches and expertise, we thought it would be valuable to all if we took turns sharing what we know.
Cindy has added the Huddle Space application. It's benefit is privacy amongst the group. There are some things we prefer not to advertise to the whole world, especially nightmare clients. So please use this feature when confidentiality among IL VAs is preferred.
I was excited to hear that everyone is interested in more participation and interaction on our Ning group. I know it's difficult to keep up with all of the social networking sites, especially if you're a Twitter addict like myself, but please pop in from time to time and see what we're up to or share an experience or concern of your own. NO question is a stupid question and IL VA Ning group is somewhere you can come to without fear of judgment. Trust me, if you're unsure about something, at some point in time someone else here has been too.

I had a wonderful time on Saturday. It was so good to meet everyone and share all of your experiences. I too think it will be a super group. I appreciate all of the offers of support and advice. I'm sure I will be asking a lot of questions!

I had a great time as usual. It was definitely super wonderful to see new faces. I only wish we would've had a more networking friendly place so we could have ALL chatted more. That's definitely something we hope to improve for our winter meetup.
